RADIO: Research and Development Information Outreach

The Natural Inquirer is produced in Athens, Georgia and Washington, DC by the RADIO Staff of the Forest Service. RADIO, or Research and Development Information Outreach, is a part of the Science Quality Services Staff in the Washington Office.

What does RADIO do?

We deliver a wide range of education services on behalf of the USDA Forest Service. Our projects include:

The Natural Inquirer: A science education journal for middle students and teachers produced in cooperation with the Forest Service's Conservation Education staff and the Cradle of Forestry Interpretive Association.

Ecological Understanding as Guidelines for Evaluation of Nonformal Education, or EUGENE: A turn-key environmental education evaluation system that is being developed in cooperation with the University of Georgia's Warnell School of Forest Resources, the Environmental Protection Agency's Office of Environmental Education, and the University of Michigan.
